An employee of Sony LSI Design Incorporated’s Atsugi Technology Center (4-14-1, Asahi-cho, Atsugi-shi, Kanagawa) was confirmed to be infected with coronavirus (COVID-19).

Since the employee showed symptoms of a fever on July 30, the employee had a medical examination at the hospital and a PCR test on July 31. On August 1, the employee tested positive and has currently received medical treatment at home. We identified the close contacts as defined by our company regulations within the site and had them to stand by at home for 14 days from the contact date. We will continue to follow up observation.

Sony LSI Design Incorporated has been taking measures to prevent further spread such as promotion of flexible work (working from home). We will carry out business operations primarily focused on ensuring the safety of its employees, its customers and partners in addition to preventing the further spread of the virus both inside and outside the company.
