We are pleased to announce the upcoming event “Sensing Solution Ideathon Hackathon 2023” which aims to use IoT devices to create sensing solution ideas that will contribute to solving social issues.
We are calling for proposals for ideas using “SPRESENSETM”, a low-power-consumption board computer for IoT applications made by Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation, to solve social issues and enrich people’s lives. The event will consist of two divisions for undergraduates and graduates at universities and some other educational institutions in Japan: the Ideathon and the Hackathon (which includes implementation tasks using Spresense).
At the online presentation session scheduled for December 17, Sunday, the finalists will give their presentations and the panel of judges will make final judging. After that, excellent works will be recognized and receive rewards.
Registration and preliminary proposal submissions open on Aug. 1!
Registration and preliminary proposal period:
- Ideathon: Tuesday, Aug. 1 to Tuesday, Sep. 12, 2023
- Hackathon: Tuesday, Aug. 1 to Tuesday, Sep. 5, 2023
*Teams that pass the preliminary proposal phase of the Hackathon will be lent a free Spresense development kit.
Eligible participants:
Teams of 1 to 5 students enrolled at universities (undergraduate/graduate), colleges of technology (fourth-year or higher students in regular courses), professional training college, or polytechnic colleges in Japan
